The popularity of card battles is not surprising considering the collectible factor and the number of possible deck combinations. This game may only have a few cards at the start, but your deck can grow quite quickly the more you win. The game is as much about battling as it is about taking control of the field. You need to eliminate enemies of course, but that shouldn't be your primary goal. You need to use your cards to take hold of the land so that you can expand your kingdom and grow your forces to protect it from further attacks… and get nice new cards.

Tips and Tricks

You never know what sort of cards you'll end up with at the bottom of the screen, but examine them carefully. The board is similar to Tic Tac Toe, meaning that you need to make use of the limited space wisely. Don't place a card down somewhere that will give the opponent a chance to place a card somewhere where your current cards can't touch it.

How to Play

Clash of Warriors is a 2D battle game about using cards to make an army and build a kingdom using the mouse. To play a card, move the cursor to your available cards at the bottom, hold the Left Mouse Button, and then drag the card to an open position. Each card's health is displayed as a shield icon with a number, while its attack damage is displayed as orange icons around its edges. Other cards have various effects which will also be displayed around their edges. The goal is to have the most spaces on the field occupied by your cards. If you get locked out, you'll need to retry the match.

The main menu is where you can visit the shop to get more cards using gold or to edit your deck by adding/removing cards or merging similar cards to upgrade them. After you've got your deck ready, you can select which arena you want to fight in with more becoming unlocked as you earn stars. Each arena is a large grid of equal rectangles and you can move cards into any open space. The timer at the bottom indicates how much time there is to make a move (blue is yours, red is the opponent's). When you place a card, it will automatically attack any enemy cards in the range of its damage. When a card's health drops to zero, it's removed from the board.

You'll also get cards like buildings and spells which do things like heal surrounding cards or block out spaces. The better you do in battle, the more stars you'll get which will earn you more rewards.
